Penrith man jailed for four years for drugs offences

It follows a trial at Carlisle Crown Court

A man from Penrith has been sentenced to four years in prison following a trial at Carlisle Crown Court.

Kyle Chaloner, aged 46 was found guilty of possession with intent to supply Class B - cannabis, possession of Class A - cocaine and criminal damage.

It's after Police carried out g a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at Elm Terrace, Penrith carried out by Eden NPT officers in November 2024 as part of Operation Apache.

Community Beat Officer PC 2485 Andy Watson said:

“Drug supply is a blight on our communities and this conviction is just one of many that shows we will not tolerate this type of offending.

“If you choose to supply drugs, you will be pursued and you brought to justice.

“We rely on our communities to be our eyes and ears so that we can challenge and act on information relating to drug supply.

“If you suspect criminality is taking place in your neighbourhood then we want to hear from you so we can take action.”
