Pedestrian seriously injured after collision with bus in Carlisle

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on Lonsdale Street in Carlisle at the bus station.

It happened earlier today.

A woman in her 70s was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle but Air Ambulance.

She is described as in a critical condition.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact officers on 101.
