Part of M6 closed near Carlisle after lorry overturns
It happened between junctions 41 for Wigton and 42 for Carlisle
Part of the M6 in Cumbria is shut in both directions after a lorry overturned.
National Highways say the lorry crossed from the southbound to the northbound carriageway and overturned.
It happened between junctions 41 for Wigton and 42 for Carlisle just before 4am this morning and involved a heavy goods vehicle and a Vauxhall Corsa.
Police say no-one’s been seriously hurt - but the force say the road will be closed for some time while the lorry is recovered.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and leave extra time for their journeys.
National Highways says there are diversions in place, North via B5305 and A6 (solid triangle symbol) and South via A6 and B5305 (solid square symbol).
