Carlisle company named in first ever King's business awards

OEE container technology limited has achieved a King's award for enterprise for international trade.

OEE Container Technology Limited (OEE) based in Carlisle, Cumbria has been honoured with the first ever King's Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

OEE is one of 148 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. It is the highest accolade that can be awarded to a British business.

They were set up in 2018 and are recognised globally for their expertise in packaging. With a focus on optimising efficiency, reducing costs, and improving processes, OEE offers a full suite of engineering services to help packaging producers streamline their manufacturing. OEE specialises in beverage cans and ends, food cans and ends and packaging equipment.

OEE has achieved remarkable success, operating globally and recently expanding its business in the United Arab Emirates. The company has seen significant growth in the past few years, increasing its overseas earnings by 199%.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise was previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, and the new name reflects His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 57th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
