Man taken to hospital following A7 collision

A man's been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the A7.

Emergency services responded to the incident between Sandysike and Longtown, where the road currently remains closed whilst officers conduct their investigations.

Officers were called to the collision, which involved a motorbike and a camper van, shortly before 2:30pm today (July 26).

The motorbike rider, a man in his 70s, was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary by the Great North Air Ambulance Service with serious injuries.

The driver of the camper van was uninjured.
