Man in his 30s hospitalised after Barrow stabbing

Police are asking for witnesses to help with inquiries

A man in his 30s has been hospitalised after being stabbed in the Salthouse Road area of Barrow on the morning of 1st January.

Cumbria Police was notified at around 7.45am of the incident, where the man sustained a neck injury. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured man was transported to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and his condition is described as stable.

Police have arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
