A man from Ulverston has been jailed today following a drugs warrant.

Daniel Orsini, aged 34, of Priory Road, Ulverston was jailed for three years and four months at Preston Crown Court for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and possessing or acquiring criminal property.

Orsini pleaded guilty to all charges at an earlier hearing.

On 24th October, officers attended his address and located the defendant locked in a small room.

Police then found cannabis, cocaine and over £4,000 in cash.

The investigation was carried out by Westmorland and Furness’ Community and Serious Organised Crime (CSOC) team as part of Operation Alliance.

A spokesperson from the CSOC team said: “The search of Orsini’s address revealed evidence of his involvement in drug supply.

“Our officers continue to proactively look to identify those involved in organised crime."
