A man's body is recovered from Ullswater

Emergency services have been at Ullswater following a report of a man getting into difficulty in the water this morning.

A multi-agency operation has been taking place in the Mossdale Bay area and at around 2.25pm the body of a man aged in his early 20s was recovered.

The man’s family have been informed of developments.

Whilst the incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time, an investigation is on-going into the circumstances leading up to the man’s death.
