It was closed all night for investigation works
The M6 is back open again this morning after a serious crash in South Cumbria forced it to be closed southbound.
Emergency services say they were called to the carriageway at around 11.30 last night, after reports a car had left the carriageway and overturned.
It's not yet known if anyone was injured.
In an update last night, National Highways said: "#M6 southbound is CLOSED between J39 #Shap and J36 #Deepthwaite due to a collision
