Longtown man arrested for cannabis offences following raid on his house
A 30 year old man is being questioned
This morning (Friday 6 October), officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit arrested a man from Cumbria on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis, following a warrant carried out at his home address in Longtown, Cumbria.
The searches are ongoing, but so far officers have seized quantities of cannabis, a suspected 3D printed firearm, and a 3D printer.
The 30-year old was taken to a local police station where he is currently being questioned by detectives.
The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) tackles serious organised crime across the North West region.
The NWROCU carries out investigations into serious and organised crime on behalf of police forces in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and North Wales.
The lead force for NWROCU is Merseyside Police, with the Assistant Chief Constable of NWROCU reporting into Chief Constable Serena Kennedy.
