Police appeal after two flee following Cumbria crash

Cumbria police have launched an investigation following a single-vehicle crash which saw two people flee.

Officers say it was reported that two people exited a car and left the scene after it crashed on Kendal Road in Bowness-on-Windermere at around 9:50pm last night (1st January).

A man and woman left in the direction of Bowness village.

The driver reportedly had visible injuries to his head.

Officers have concerns for the passengers' welfare and they're being asked to contact the police urgently.
