Kendal man remanded in custody for breaches of sexual harm prevention order

A man has been remanded in custody after a police investigation into reports of suspicious activity in the area of a Kendal play park.

Charlie Currie, aged 21, from Rinkfield, Kendal, appeared on Friday at Furness Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The offences relate to reports of suspicious activity where a man had approached children near to a play park in Kendal in early April and earlier this week.

At court, Currie pleaded guilty to the offences. He has been remanded in custody ahead of a further court appearance on 17 July.
