Hensingham man jailed for sexual assault

He was jailed for five years.

A man has been jailed for five years at Carlisle Crown Court for sexual assault.

Arthur Dunn, 66, of Lincoln Road, Hensingham was found guilty by a jury in May.

The incident occurred in 2022 in Cleator Moor against one victim.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Sue Procter said:

“I would like to thank the victim for their bravery in reporting these offences.

“Sexual violence can have a devastating impact on victims and their families.

“We would encourage any person who may have experienced such incidents to report the matter to police. We have specially trained officers to investigate and support you throughout”
