A Brampton dentist office has been forced to close after it caught fire on Sunday.

Chandlers lane dental practice will not be seeing any patients as it looks to try to re-open, with all non emergency appointments postponed.

In a statement on their social media they said: "Due to the building suffering from an unfortunate fire this afternoon, we will be implementing our force majeure strategy.

"All non urgent appointments (check ups, routine treatments) will be postponed. We will contact all patients in due course once in a position to do so. We would appreciate it if you refrain from contacting us, as our efforts will be focussed on dealing with patients in pain and the reopening of the practice.

"We will be organising for patients with urgent concerns and/or treatments that cannot be postponed to be seen at Haltwhistle Dental Health.

"We appreciate your concern, understanding and patience at this time. We hope to have the practice up and running as soon as possible."
