Driver arrested on A590 for positive drug test and unsafe load
Vehicle stopped for load security concerns before arrest
A driver was arrested on the A590 in Cumbria after their vehicle was stopped due to concerns over load security.
The vehicle reportedly had no load security and the contents were visibly shifting during transit, raising safety concerns.
Following the stop, the driver was subjected to a roadside drug test and tested positive. They were subsequently arrested.
Officers also issued a vehicle defect notice, which prohibits the vehicle from being used on the road until it is made safe to drive.
