Police confirm Walney man’s death not suspicious

Police investigating the death of a 57-year-old man from Walney have confirmed that the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.

The man died in hospital on July 30 after sustaining injuries during an incident at a house on Teasdale Road on July 12.

Following extensive enquiries, officers have concluded that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Police say they will continue to support the coronial process.

Two individuals who were previously arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the July 12 incident will face no further action.
