The Piatak family have issued another statement via the Castle Sports Group..
The American's confirmed their interest in purchasing Carlisle United Football Club 2 months ago, however speculation over a new potential buyer had been rumbling since before the end of last season.
In their latest statement on 'X' the family confirmed they were in the final stages of the take-over, with it nearing completion, and hinted at something big happening during the Charlton match.
They also addressed the legacy debt that the club had accrued over the past several years, and was viewed as a major stumbling block for any buyer wanting to get involved in the club.
The statement read: "We can confirm the successful resolution of the legacy debt, marking a significant milestone in the acquisition process.
"All is progressing as planned, and we remain on track to complete the acquisition in the near future, with the Piatak's scheduled to attend the Charlton match."
Blues fans will be hoping the American family will be looking to inject some funds into the club, with Carlisle currently facing down the barrel of relegation from league 1, just a year after promotion.
From conversations with fans the main areas it's hoped the Piatak's will invest is around transfers, stadium infrastructure, the women's team and new training facilities.
