Carlisle are looking to return to the third tier for the first time since 2014 as they face Stockport in the League Two play-off final for a 1:30pm kick off.

The Blues qualified for the play-offs after finishing the regular campaign in fifth position and came from behind in the tie against Bradford to book their place at Wembley, with a 3-2 aggregate win.

Manager Paul Simpson said:

“This has been a really good season, now we want to go and make it a fantastic season so we can go and really enjoy everything.

“But we know Stockport will be thinking exactly the same, they’ve been gearing up to be successful as a team and a club for years with the investment they’ve had from their new owner.

“They expected to be promoted at the start of the season so there is an expectancy there that wasn’t with us, but now that we’re there as well we expect to win.

“We’ll do everything we possibly can to win, and the challenge is who can deal with the game better.”

Carlisle fan Lee is at Wembley, he, like many supporters, says it's all down to the manager, Lee said:

“I think he’s a home boy and he’s well respected and won the world cup with the youth team. I think he can bring it home, it’s his time now.”

The winner of the tie will gain promotion to league 1.
