Body found in search for missing man in Cumbria

A body has been recovered in Cumbria in the search for a missing man.

Police have been trying to locate a man missing from the Manchester area, Paul Pennington.

A body was found in the vicinity of Helmn Cragg near Grasmere, last night (15th May).

The body was located by Mountain Rescue volunteers working as part of the efforts to find Paul.

Whilst formal identification has yet to take place, Paul’s family have been informed of developments.

Police would like to thank everyone who shared the missing person appeals for their assistance in the search, as well as Mountain Rescue volunteers.
