Biker seriously injured after crash near Keswick

He was airlifted to hospital after the incident at the weekend

A motorbike rider has been seriously injured after he was involved in a crash with another vehicle near Keswick.

Emergency services were called at 2.25pm on Sunday, after reports of a collision between a Kawasaki bike and a Vauxhall Insignia on the A66 in Threlkeld.

The rider, a man in his 60s, was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

The occupants of the Vauxhall were unhurt.

Cumbria Police have now launched an investigation, and want anyone who saw anything or who has dashcam to come forward.
