Multiple people hospitalised after crash on the A66 in Cumbria
A police investigation has been launched after the incident on Sunday (30th November)
Multiple people were taken to hospital after a crash on the A66 in Cumbria at the weekend.
Officers were called just after 3am on Sunday (30th November) to reports of a two-car crash on the A66, westbound on Stainmore.
Multiple people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.
A Cumbria police spokesperson said, "The collision involved two vehicles, a red Volkswagen Polo and a white Iveco HGV. One of the passengers in the VW Polo was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The other occupants were taken to hospital but their injuries are not thought to be serious.
"The driver of the HGV was un-injured."
