Police appeal for witnesses after A6 crash near Penrith

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision.

Police were called to the incident at 10:48pm yesterday (30th June).

The collision involved a Black Mercedes Vito and a Horse pulling a Sulky. The collision occurred on the North Bound A6 between Penrith and Milestone House.

A 16-year-old male, who was on the sulky, was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, with serious injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Two further people who were on the sulky suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes suffered minor injuries.
