Appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Nuneaton

She was reportedly attacked in the early hours of this morning

Police are appealing for witnesses, information or dashcam footage following a reported sexual assault in Nuneaton in the early hours of this morning (Friday 20 May).

Just before 4.30am, a woman was sexually assaulted on the path between Pingles Leisure Centre and Donnithorne Avenue.

It’s reported an individual witnessed the incident and disturbed the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing dark jeans and a dark top.

Detective Inspector Owen Fell from Nuneaton CID said: “A number of enquiries of currently ongoing, including a CCTV trawl.

“As part of the investigation, we would like to speak to the individual who is believed to have disturbed the incident, as they are being treated as a key witness.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area between 3am and 4.30am this morning – and this includes any vehicles driving on Church Street, Attleborough Road, Avenue Road and/or Donnithorne Avenue during this time who may have dashcam footage.

“Anyone with any information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 34 of 20 May 2022.”
