Emergency services were called to Spring Road, Arley this morning (8th May)
A woman has died in a car crash in Coventry this morning (Thursday 8th May).
Emergency services were called to the junction of Spring Road and Rectory Road in Arley, just after 6.30am.
A car had overturned, with a female driver in a critical condition and receiving help for members of the public before paramedics arrived.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
West Midlands Ambulance Service say two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attended.
In a statement, a spokesman from the service said: “When emergency services arrived on scene, they found a car that had overturned and one patient, a woman.
“She was found to be in a critical condition and was already receiving basic life support from bystanders.
“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
