Zombie knife and drugs seized by police in Coventry

Weapons and drugs - including a zombie knife - have been taken off the streets of Coventry following a warrant.

West Midlands Police were called o Lower Holyhead Road shortly before 3pm yesterday after the weapons were discovered.

Armed officers were sent to the address to carry out a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant, where they found a blank-firing pistol and a blank-firer which had been converted to carry live rounds.

These were recovered along with a zombie knife, suspected class A drugs, dealer bags and a quantity of cash.

A 22-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of a blade.

He remains in custody today while our enquiries continue.
