Two more waste drop sites open amid Coventry bin lorry driver strikes
It's ahead of a planned two-month strike in February and March
A further two drop sites will be opening in Coventry on Monday to help more residents manage waste amidst the bin lorry driver strike.
The two sites will be at Willenhall Social Club and at Telfer Road car park, increasing the spread of sites across the city. It's hoped it will make the sites more accessible to people living in Coventry.
The two new sites will be open 7 days a week, 8am-4.30pm.
So far more than 120,000 cars have visited the nine drop sites.
A full list of all 11 drop sites can be found here.
A Coventry City Council spokesperson said: "Residents who were not scheduled a collection this week will receive a scheduled household (green lidded) bin collection next week. Residents can double check their collection dates at www.coventry.gov.uk/bindays as collections usually on a Wednesday and Friday have been moved to Tuesday and Thursdays."
Recycling can be taken to the drop sites.
Garden waste collections remain suspended.
