Two men involved in a Bedworth drugs line which claimed to have the ‘best of both’ - referring to crack and heroin – have been sentenced.

In December last year detectives discovered a drugs line in Bedworth, known locally as the ‘Mitch’ line.

This was a phone number offering crack cocaine and heroin for sale – proclaiming that the drugs on offer were the ‘best of both’.

Then, on 17 January officers arrested 21-year-old Michael Durnian and 23-year-old Callum Milbourne, both of Smercote Close, as they left a taxi in Croft Pool.

Milbourne was found to be in possession of a significant amount of crack and heroin and was later found to have attempted to discard a mobile phone which was connected to the ‘Mitch line’.

Durnian was found to be in possession of cannabis and a lock knife.

And on Friday, 4 August, at Warwick Crown Court, Milbourne was sentenced to 40 months in prison.

At the same time, Durnian was handed a 12-month community order.
