Two arrested over production of cannabis in Coventry

Over 700 cannabis plants have been seized from a property in Coventry.

It happened in the early hours of this morning.

The two men aged 27 and 20 were arrested when West Midlands Police carried out the raid on the property in Newdigate Street, Upper Stoke.

The police statement says:

Officers carried out a successful drugs warrant this morning at a commercial premises in Newdigate Street, Upper Stoke, Coventry.

Two men aged 27 and 20 were arrested at the premises on suspicion of the production of cannabis and are currently in police custody. Over 700 plants were recovered which will now be destroyed by the force cannabis disposal unit.
