Tom Grennan has been thanked on social media for contributing the remaining amount of money for a statue to be built of two former Coventry City players.

The statue of John Sillett and George Curtis is set to be built opposite the ticket office and club shop at the CBS Arena.

An original appeal for £87,000 was not met, despite a number of Sky Blues fans donating in their droves.

Joe Elliott, the chairman of the statue fundraising committee, said:

"Tom's fantastic donation has got us to where we want to be. We are so happy with Tom and John Dawkins, his manager, for the passion and generosity they have shown in making this decision.

Taking to X himself, Tom - a Coventry City super fan - said he's "buzzin to have been able to have played a small part!"
