Six arrested after violent disorder in Bedworth
Warwickshire Police have confirmed six people have been arrested in connection with an incident in Bedworth on Friday night (13 June)
Warwickshire Police have confirmed six people have been arrested in connection with an incident in Bedworth on Friday night (13 June).
The incident is said to have happened shortly after 7.20pm, with officers called to reports of violent disorder on Pine Tree Road and Regent Street.
Officers attended the scene and arrested six people:
- A 42-year-old woman from Bedworth, arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and violent disorder
- A 15-year-old boy from Bedworth, a 16-year-old boy from Bedworth, a 17-year-old boy from Bedworth, a 25-year-old man from Nuneaton, and a 45-year-old man from Coventry, all arrested on suspicion of violent disorder
They have all been bailed pending further enquiries.
During the disorder, a man received a head injury from an assault. He was taken to hospital and is now recovering at home.
A number of weapons were recovered from a white Audi as part of the investigation including a knuckle duster and a knife.
An 'isolated incident'
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Jon Shand from Warwickshire Police said: “We’re aware this event may have caused some community concern on Friday evening, but would like to reassure residents it is currently being treated as an isolated incident.
“An investigation is now ongoing to ascertain the full circumstances. If anyone has any information which may assist with our enquiries, please call 101 quoting incident number 377 of 13 June 2025.”
