Nine people arrested for drugs offences across Coventry and Warwickshire

A variety of drugs were seized.

Officers from Warwickshire Police have this week made nine arrests in connection with drug offences in the county.

On Tuesday (21 November) detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Team raided houses in Whitmore Park Road, Coventry and Queen Mary’s Road, Bedworth. This was part of an investigation into the supply of drugs into Bedworth. Three men were arrested.

Liam Murray, 26, of Clifton Road, Nuneaton was later charged with one count each of being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession with intent to supply cocaine, acquiring criminal property, possession of cannabis and possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious gas (CS spray), and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place (a machete and baton).

Daniel Kettel, 32, of Queen Mary’s Road, Bedworth was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, acquiring criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place (a machete).

Keaton Clinton, 21, of Sherbourne Avenue, Ryde, Isle of Wight was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

Officers from Rugby Serious and Organised Crime Team arrested a man after stopping a car on the M6 yesterday. The arrest of the 31-year-old man from Coventry was linked to the seizure of a large amount of cocaine from a house in Rugby last month. He was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Following his arrest officers searched a house in Maple Road, Rugby where cocaine was seized and a 33-year-old woman from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

On Wednesday (22 November), officers from Rugby Safer Neighbourhood Team raided a house in Aster Drive, Rugby where they seized suspected class A drugs and cannabis. A 59-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of class A drugs with intent to supply.

Plain clothed detectives from Leamington Serious and Organised Crime Team detained two men after spotting a suspected drug deal in the Parade, Leamington. The men were taken back to Leamington Police Station for a search where £200 of crack cocaine and £500 in cash were seized.

A 45-year-old man from Leamington was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and a 33-year-old man from Leamington was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Officers from Warwick Safer Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant at a house in Cowper Close, Warwick where they seized almost 170 plants.
