Warwickshire is unveiling a new monument in memory of road traffic victims

There will be the unveiling of a new permanent memorial for road traffic victims at Hartshill Hayes Country Park in North Warwickshire this afternoon.

Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership have commissioned it.

The memorial is the first of its kind in the county and will offer a peaceful location for people to gather to remember those whose lives have been lost or injured as the result of a road traffic collision.

The partnership have announced that the unveiling of the Memorial will be carried out by Sharron Huddleston, who campaigns for safer roads in memory of her daughter Caitlin.

Those attending the unveiling include, Chair of the Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership, Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe and Rebecca Morris from RoadPeace, the national charity for road crash victims.
