Man kidnapped and robbed in Atherstone

Police are appealing for witnesses, after a man was reportedly kidnapped and robbed in Atherstone.
On 21 December 2023 at around 3pm, a man was allegedly trapped inside a red VW Passat by four males on Atherstone’s Carlyon Road Industrial Estate.
The car was then reportedly driven down the A5 Southbound to Wood Lane in Higham on the Hill, where they are alleged to have spent a significant amount of time parked up before the man was released at around 4:30pm.
He was reportedly forced at knifepoint to transfer money to the suspects while he was inside the car.
If you saw anything, particularly if you have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicle or its occupants between these times, get in touch with police as soon as possible, quoting Incident 423 of 21 December.
