West Midlands Police have charged a man with the murders of two men who died after being struck by a car in Coventry on 3 September last year.

Pedestrian Leo Moran, aged 44, was struck on Gosford Street, while cyclist Joel Carriedo, 47, died after being struck by the same vehicle on Woodway Lane.

A third man was also injured after being struck by the vehicle.

Emiljano Kasaj, aged 33, of no fixed address, appeared before Coventry magistrates yesterday (Tuesday).

He is also charged with the attempted murder of the third man.

Kasaj will appear again at Warwick Crown Court on 9 September.

Officers say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with what happened, and this is not being treated as terror-related.

West Midlands Police say they continue to support the families of Leo and Joel.
