Man charged after fireworks incident in Coventry

A man has been charged following an incident involving fireworks in Coventry.

Police were called to an address on St Jude’s Crescent on Wednesday (February 4th) after reports fireworks had been tampered with.

A cordon was put in place to ensure the safety of residents.

Police say no one was hurt.

Olamide Bello, 33, from Coventry, has subsequently been charged with making an explosive substance with intent to endanger life / injure property, and criminal damage to property.

Bello, from Coventry, was due at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (February 6th).
