A 47-year-old man was arrested in the city centre yesterday (21 August) on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

Chief Inspector Dave Amos from Coventry Police, said: “We want to thank everyone for their understanding and patience while we continue to work to establish exactly what happened and why.

“At this stage, we believe this was an isolated incident without cause for wider alarm in the community.
