Machetes seized off streets of Coventry

A number of machetes have been seized as police continue efforts to take dangerous weapons off the streets of Coventry.

Officers acted on information around youths seen with knives in a car park off Maycock Road, Foleshill, at just before 7.30pm on Saturday (22 May).

Officers attended & seized a machete & Stanley knife.

Two boys, both 14, were arrested on suspicion of having an offensive weapon & they've since been released under investigation.

A police dog also found 2 machetes hidden in bushes off Olivier Way in Walsgrave.
