Teenager sentenced after machete incident at Warwickshire College
He was given 20 months in a youth detention centre and a training order
A teenager boy's been sentenced to 20 months in a youth detention centre after an incident involving a machete at Warwickshire College.
Officers were called to Warwickshire College on Warwick New Road on the 23rd of September after reports of someone with a knife threatening others.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at his home and charged on 24th September, before being found guilty the next day at Coventry Youth Court.
He was found guilty of affray and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article on educational premises.
Warwickshire police are urging people to report concerns around knives, as part of their 'Operation Talkative'.
