Machete and drugs seized after Coventry car crash

The man was stopped by police for dangerous driving - and then went on to hit another vehicle

A 22-year-old man is in custody today after a collision in Binley Road, Coventry.

Traffic officers spotted a car being driven dangerously in Wren Street on 29 April.

Shortly after, it moved on to Binley Road, where it hit another vehicle.

No one was seriously injured, but when officers searched the car they found a substantial amount of suspected class A drugs, along with cash and a machete.

The driver of the car was arrested at the scene on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, possession with intent to supply class A drugs and driving while disqualified.

He remains in custody at this time.
