Investigation launched after man dies in a Coventry river

West Midlands are appealing for witnesses.

West Midlands Police are investigating after the death of a man in a river in Coventry.

Officers were called to Upper Spon Street on 6 August and found a 33-year-old man in the water.

He was taken to hospital, but sadly died a short time later.

His family has been informed and are being supported by officers.

The force are looking to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have more information about what happened.
