Fourth man charged with murder after hit and run in Coventry

West Midlands Police have charged a fourth person with the murder of a man who was struck by a Ford Mondeo in Coventry.

Carl Tomlinson, 51, was arrested yesterday (5 Sept) in the Wyken area of Coventry and is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court today.

Father-of-one Andrew Flamson was walking with a friend and family in Grosvenor Road on the night of 12 July when they were struck by a silver Ford Mondeo.

Mr Flamson, aged 40 and from Coventry, suffered fatal head injuries and was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Tomlinson has also been charged with the attempted murder of the three people who were walking with Mr Flamson at the time and criminal damage for the death of Mr Flamson's dog.

Three people had already been arrested and charged in connection with his death and are all on remand in prison.
