Dozens of young people from Coventry will be going to see Harry Styles perform in the city this month, as a reward for their kindness to others.
The tickets were provided by Coventry Building Society (CBS) to teens from Foxford School, Grace Academy, Sidney Stringer Academy, and the Positive Youth Foundation.
Teachers and staff at each of the schools selected 69 students who had been kind to their classmates throughout the year.
It’s part of Coventry Building Society’s scheme to share opportunities to experience entertainment and sport with the local community – particularly those from more deprived areas of the city.
Belinda Brown, Senior Community Specialist at Coventry Building Society, said: "We’re thrilled for these students. They are amongst the kindest and most deserving young people in the city. You can see from their faces how much it means to them to be going to see Harry Styles – many of them won’t have had the experience of a major concert before.
"This is about bringing young people from our three partner schools together in an environment where they can celebrate, laugh and absorb the atmosphere of thousands of people coming together in a once in a lifetime experience.
"We work really closely with these schools throughout the year to enhance the aspirations, confidence and career prospects of young people who don’t have the same opportunities as many others. Often our focus is employability and future careers related education, but it’s a really special moment to be giving some of them the opportunity to experience the love and joy of music by seeing their favourite artist perform in their home city."
Harry Styles will be performing at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Monday 22 May.
