Coventry man charged with assaulting taxi driver

A 40-year-old man has been charged with wounding following an attack on a taxi driver in Coventry.

Artur Nowostawski is due before Coventry magistrates this morning charged with wounding, attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

Nowostawski is accused of a violent assault on a taxi driver in the city on 29 April and has been remanded in custody since his arrest on 6 May.
