Coventry City of Culture: Livestream of Ed Sheeran gig available for 3000 fans

Ed Sheeran fans who missed out on tickets his special gig at the hmv Empire, Coventry, have a second chance to grab tickets to watch the show.
hmv & Coventry City Council are hosting a free live-stream of the Concert at Assembly Festival Garden as part of Coventry's City of Culture Celebrations.
The live-stream, held at the same time as the gig on the 25th August, has a capacity of 3,000 and tickets will be available on a first-come first-served basis from 2pm today.
Maisie Peters will be the support act for the concert.
The live-stream event was put on after the gig at the hmv Empire Coventry saw tens of thousands of entries to its ticket prize draw.
The gig is being held in celebration of hmv’s centenary, marking 100 years since the iconic British high street retailer opened its first store in July 1921.
It’s also the grand opening of the brand new hmv-sponsored Empire concert venue in Coventry, which recently underwent a £500,000 refurbishment.
Ed Sheeran said:
“Very happy to say that I’ll be performing for hmv’s 100th birthday in Coventry. hmv is a store that I spent a lot of time in growing up and a place where I discovered lots of new music, so I’m looking forward to celebrating this milestone with them.”
