Body found in search for missing Coventry man

Anthony Treadgold was last seen more than three weeks ago

Police searching for a missing man from Coventry have found a body, after information was given to them by a member of the public.

Anthony Treadgold, 44, was last seen on CCTV at the University of Warwick campus, near Lynchgate Court more than three weeks ago.

A body was found on land near Westwood Heath Lane, in Coventry today.

The body is yet to be identified but officers believe it to be Anthony. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Following our appeal to find Anthony Treadgold, a member of the public provided information which led to the body of a man being found on land near to Westwood Heath Lane, Coventry, today (19 November).

"A formal identification is still to take place, but his family has been informed of this very sad news."
