Report of blade incident leads to arrest in Water Orton

It's after a man was making threats

A man's been arrested, after an incident involving a knife in Water Orton.

At just after midday yesterday (6 May), police were called to a report of a man with a bladed weapon, allegedly making threats towards a member of the public inside a house near Birmingham Road.

Officers from the firearms team arrived at the location of the alleged incident, entered the address, and subsequently found the alleged suspect and made an arrest.

Police say there is no wider risk to the public and no one has been hurt.

Following this, a 52-year-old man from Water Orton has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon.
