West Midlands Police is appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after shots were fired in Far Gosford Street, Coventry, at around 2.15am on Sunday (17 November).

It’s believed shots were fired at a car by the occupants of a black BMW. Both cars were driven away from the scene, and officers are working to trace them.

No one has reported any injuries, and investigators are retrieving and reviewing CCTV as part of on-going enquiries.

Chf Insp Dave Amos, from Coventry Police, said: "An incident like this in our city centre is a concern for us all and our teams are committed to identifying and detaining those responsible.

"Such violence has no place on our streets and we have stepped up local patrols in the area, so please speak to us if you need reassurance or can assist with our enquiries."

The force is asking anyone who was in the area at the time to get in contact.

They’re also asking people driving in the area to check their dash-cam and let officers know about any footage which may assist their enquiries.
