Police are appealing for information, after two women were sexually assaulted in separate incidents in Coventry in the last week.

Just before 1am on Saturday (27 January), a man approached an 18-year-old woman near the entrance of Swanswell Park and Pool, near White Street and Primrose Hill Street and sexually assaulted her. A friend of the woman heard her call and approached the man who made off in the direction of Stoney Stanton Road.

At around 12.40am on Sunday 21 January, an 18-year-old woman was approached from behind by a man in the same park and sexually assaulted. The woman fought back and the man ran off.

Both women have been deeply distressed by the attacks and officers are working to support them, while they assist with enquiries. The man has been described as between 5ft 4in and 5t 9in tall, of slim build and aged between 20 and 30 years old.

Anyone with information should contact police via Live Chat on the website, or by calling 101, quoting crime references 20/181174/24 and 20/159054/24.

West Midlands Police says it's dedicated to tackling violence against women and girls, putting those who have been subjected to these offences at the heart of this work and supporting them through every step of the journey.
