Appeal after man injured in Coventry shooting

An investigation has been launched after a man was seriously injured when shots were fired in Caludon Castle Park last night (21 Oct).

West Midlands Police were called to Farren Road at 10.17pm, where a 24-year-old man was found with serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital, and remains in a life-threatening condition.

The force is appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything to come forward.

Extra patrols have been stepped up today to offer reassurance to the local community.

Police say they understand the alarm incidents like this cause, and officers will be providing reassurance to the community, and to speak talk to them if you have any concerns.
