Young woman reported missing from Newquay found safe

19-year-old Jessica Clarke's disappearance had sparked an urgent police appeal

Police have confirmed a 19-year-old woman who was reported missing from Newquay, has been found.

Officers had issued an urgent appeal on Friday 20th May, amid growing concerns for Jessica Clarke's welfare.

She had last been seen by her family at 11am on Thursday 19th May and her disappearance was described as being out of character.

However on Saturday 21st May, Devon & Cornwall Police confirmed Jessica had been found safe and well.

The force has thanked the public for for their help with the appeal.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "A 19-year-old woman reported missing from Newquay has been located safe and well.

"Officers had been searching for Jessica Clarke after she went missing on Thursday morning, 19th May.

"Jessica was located safe in Cornwall last night, 20th May.

"We would like to thank the public for their help with this appeal".
